Collegiettes, Halloween has officially ended. Thanksgiving is coming up, which is great and all, but we all know this means that the countdown for Christmas has just begun! So grab your hot chocolate and Buddy-the-Elf-enthusiasm, because it’s not too early to start celebrating the ~most wonderful time~ of the year!

1. Holiday Drinks

Step aside, PSL! Our favorite Christmas lattes and mochas have come to town. Peppermint mochas, gingerbread lattes, and eggnog lattes – oh my! With so many delicious drinks to grab before the holiday season ends, it is probably on the safe side to get a head start now. Besides, who doesn’t ~love~ a peppermint mocha from Starbucks? I know I do! Plus, Starbucks has released their new holiday cups which combine our favorite things: delicious coffee, Christmas, and coloring!

2. Christmas Movies

Classics like Frosty the Snowman and A Christmas Carol never seem to get old. However, it can kind of overwhelming thinking about all of the Christmas movies that you simply ~have to~ watch. But with the feel good message and nostalgia, there is nothing better than lying down in your PJ’s and binge watching all of them!

3. Christmas Carols

One of the best parts about Christmas is belting out the Christmas carols. With modern twists and old classics, there are so many to choose from. Who could forget screaming along to “Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer” in elementary school with the funny interjections? We all know that Rudolph will go down in history “like George Washington!”

4. Decorations

People either love or hate this part: the decorating. It can be a fun or very stressful activity. So why not do it now? For those who adore this activity, the fun gets to start now, and for those who do not enjoy it so much, it will be over faster so then you can enjoy the rest of the holiday. No matter which side you’re on, I think we can all agree that Christmas decorations are so nice to look at.

5. The Overall Spirit

It is called the most wonderful time of the year for a reason! We all get to spend time with our loved ones and unwind a little bit. Christmas also reminds us how to be kind to one another, which is something that we should do throughout the whole year, not just at Christmas.

HCXO and Happy Holidays!
