5 Reasons to Love Yourself

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Just in case you forgot why you’re amazing, here are some reasons to make you remember.

1. You’re beautiful.John Legend wasn’t messing around when he said that he loved your “curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections”.  He was on to something right there. You’re a piece of artwork in everyway.

2. You’re perfect.Perfection might seem like a scary word but you are perfect.  There is no one in the world that can be you.  You’re made up of specific qualities and life experiences that make you, you and only you.  You can’t clone it, change it, or try to think that someone else is exactly like you.  You’re one out of 7 billion.

3. You’re strong. No matter what curve ball comes your way, you handle it with grace.  Life isn’t easy.  Challenges are presented everyday.  It can be as little as working in a group where you don’t feel comfortable in to losing a friendship.  No matter what, you push through it and keep moving forward.

4. You embrace new adventures. It might be scary to try on new things but not to you. Your fearlessness pushes you to “infinity and beyond” just like Buzz Lightyear.  Your ability to tackle it head on is something to admire.

5. You don’t let your mistakes define you. Everyone makes mistakes, were human its part of life.  The ability to reflect from those mistakes and learn from them and become an even better person is awesome.  Those mistakes are the clay to molding you into who you are.
