5 Makeup Products Perfect for Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Finals are almost over and it’s finally time to start thinking about summer! That’s crazy, right? It’s time to soak up the sun, protect our skin from harm, and control our skin’s natural oils that as the weather gets warmer. Here are some of my summer makeup essentials:

1. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 ($24): Want to keep your lips soft and protected from the strength of the sun? Try this softening lip balm that also contains SPF and comes in various tints!

2.  Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ($30): Does your chest look tan and your face like a lobster after a long day in the sun? Have no fear, just throw some foundation over the redness and add some of this beautiful bronzer to warm up your skin tone. (P.S. it smells like chocolate!)

3. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream ($7): This oil-free formula leaves your skin feeling weightless and fresh, making it the perfect summer complexion smoother. It also contains SPF 30, which will provide some protection while you lay out in the sun!

4. Boscia Black Charcoal Blotting Linens ($10): This package provides 100 blotting sheets that serve as the perfect quick fix to have on-the-go in case the beating sun brings about droplets of sweat that slowly add unwanted shine to your face.

5. Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara ($23): Do you fear finding your mascara running all over your face after jumping into the pool because you didn’t remove it all? This waterproof, voluminous mascara is the answer to your prayers!
