Fall here in Fairfield is like something out of a dream.  The weather is that perfect mix between chilly and sunny, and the trees are all beautiful shades of orange and red.  Transitioning into fall may not be too hard when it comes to outfits, but for makeup, it can get a little tricky.  Here are a few essential beauty products every college girl needs for fall: Moisturizer

When the weather starts to get more dry and cold, our skin can take a hit.  It’s always essential to have a good moisturizer on hand in order to your skin looking fresh and healthy.  If you don’t mind spending a little extra, the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is great for combination to dry skin.  Another favorite, and wallet-friendly, is the Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer.  This moisturizer is great for sensitive skin and is dermatologist recommended.

Nail Polish

Dark nail polish in the fall is always an essential.  Reds, blues, greens, and even shades of brown staple colors for every fall-loving girl’s look.  Essie always comes out with great fall colors and they’re sold in tons of stores!

Lipstick

Fall is definitely my favorite time of year for lipsticks.  Colors can range from a stone pink to a deep plum.  For an everyday look, you should invest in a good nude or mauve colored lipstick in whatever formula fits you.  While liquid lipsticks are super trendy right now, some people find them to be over-drying.  If that’s your case, try a semi-matte finish or a gloss finish lipstick.  When you’re going for a more dramatic look, some great colors to try are deep pinks, purples, and reds.  To give your look a little extra shine, try putting a clear gloss or a gloss that matches your lipstick at the center of your lips.  This will help your lips to look fuller and add some dimension to your color.

Leave-in Conditioner

Just like how your skin dries out during the fall, your hair dries out too.  In order to prevent those annoying frizzy strands, try a leave-in conditioner after you shower.  I love to use the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil when my hair is still slightly damp.  This product really helps to keep my hair looking silky smooth.  If oil doesn’t work for your hair, try using a spray leave-in conditioner.  You’ll want to apply the product starting from the midshaft to the ends.  Avoid using leave-in conditioner in your roots because it will cause your hair to appear oily.

Metallic Eye Shadow

Adding a pop of color to your look is a great way to take an everyday neutral look and make it more fun.  If you want to spice up your look but don’t want to spend all the money, try using ColourPop eyeshadows.  ColourPop offers a wide variety of shades that are all high-end quality!  If you can’t get your hands on this brand, many drugstores sell the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils.  These cream shadows also come in a wide variety and are super easy to apply.  You can use them all over the lid or as an eyeliner.  You can also use these eye pencils as a base for another eye shadow.  Some great colors for fall are rose gold, copper, emerald green, and bronze.
