20 Times The Struggle Is So Real

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

For us collegiettes, there are many moments out of our busy days where we “just can’t even.”  Whether it’s dealing with a boy, schoolwork, or professor, there are many things we face that try what little patience we have.  If you have ever sent a mass snap saying #prayforme or spent an entire coffee date complaining about your day, you can totally relate to all the times in our daily lives that the struggle is oh so real.

1. Touching your straightener while it is still hot.

2. Wanting to jam out to Ne-Yo in the shower, but not wanting to risk the judgments from the communal bathroom.

3. Trying to read your text messages right when you wake up but the screen is so bright.

4. Having a final paper due in the morning but you absolutely CAN NOT miss Scandal.

5. Missing Scandal… and having someone ruin the episode for you via social media.6. Trying so hard not to text him first.

7. Going on your 3rd hour in the library and still not understanding what possibly could be on your philosophy test.

8. When your school’s library Starbucks doesn’t take gift cards?!?!

9. When you’re left hanging.

10. Let’s not even begin about giving presentations in class.

11. Getting to your 8 AM…or your 9AM…honestly, your 10 AM at this point.

12. When you see your crush in the dining hall talking to another girl. Rude.

13. Trying to take the perfect “candid” to Instagram.

14. Trying to get up the stairs to your room after “leg day.”

15. When you physically and emotionally need curly fries but the dining hall is only serving steak-cut.

16. Trying to not to wear the same outfit when you go out (yeah, right!)

17. Getting each eye’s liner to match perfectly

18. Cute boy: “Hey…”

Me: *omg omg, he loves me*

Cute boy: “…I think your friend is cute”

Me: 19. Not being able to eat lunch until your friends get out of class because you don’t want to eat alone.

20. When strangers/relatives/advisors ask you what you want to do with the rest of your life.
