10 Face Masks to Get You Through February

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

We have all gone through the phase of making our own face masks at home. Whether it be with coffee grounds, honey, or avocados, we may never admit it but they never quite work the way the internet says they will.

As we await the arrival of warmer months ahead, it is still important that we continue to take care of our skin through to the end of winter. We all know February, although the shortest month of the year, can feel like the longest- but our skin doesn’t have to feel that way. Rather than come out high and dry at the end of the month, use these ten masks to get your skin looking its best through the end of February with beautiful, glowing, and hydrated skin.

1. Rodan and Fields Redefine Rejuvenation Face Mask ($60)

Of all the face masks made by Rodan and Fields, this one is absolutely the most fun and a must have! In order to bring out your youngest, most glistening skin, you should use this 2-3 times a week. Not only is this hydrating deep into your skin but this will also work to improve fine lines and wrinkles before they even begin.

2. Colleen Rothschild Clarifying Detox Mask ($48)

You may think your skin is clean but, is it really? This detox mask will allow your skin to breathe as dirt glides out of your pores. The charcoal and clay infused into this mask will help your skin maintain a balanced complexion by not only clearing your pores but soothing redness at and below the surface.

3. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask ($25)

If the cold winter months have totally transformed your once hydrated skin to dry and cracked, this product is a must have! Laneige produced this mask to have you waking up every day with dewy, beautiful skin. The best part is that keeping your skin hydrated will also prevent acne from forming. Laneige can be bought at Sephora but can also occasionally be found at your local Marshalls or Tjmaxx for half the price! This pairs well with the Laneige sleeping lip mask, too!

4. TULA Detox in a Jar – Exfoliating Treatment Mask ($48)

On the rise lately is TULA, a company that is all about “embracing your skin.” On a day-to-day basis, our skin goes through a lot from coming in contact with unwashed hands, wearing a mask and also clogging pores with makeup. This mask will detox all of the dirt and oil imbalances that your skin experiences. After using this mask, the texture of your skin will feel better than ever before.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Multi-Miracle Glow Cleansing Balm ($60)

Do you ever get in late from a night and just never want to go through the process of taking off your makeup, cleaning your face and moisturizing? Well, now you don’t have to! This cream-to-oil combination will remove the makeup from your face, cleanse your skin and also moisturize in just one step!

6. Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial AHA + BHA Mask ($80)

Although a bit of a splurge, this Drunk Elephant product isn’t just a face mask, it is an at home facial that will leave your skin silky smooth. This facial goes deep into your skin, getting rid of dead skin cells, unclogging pores and of course, soothing any redness on or below the surface.

7. Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask ($22)

Need more hydration in your life? No matter what type of skin you have, this moisturizing moon mask will ensure that you are glimmering all day and night. Not only does this hydrate your skin but it soothes and conditions your skin to leave it with its best-looking complexion.

8. Rodan and Fields Unblemish Clarifying Mask ($60)

Breakouts always seem to come at the most inconvenient times but, with Rodan and Fields Unblemish mask, you won’t have to worry about acne again! Whether your breakouts are minimal or stubborn, Unblemish has you covered and will dry them out in just 10-15 minutes. As you exfoliate, the mask turns from white to purple, allowing the sulfuric formula to reduce oil, unclog pores and prevent future breakouts. If you feel a break out coming on, this will be your savior!

9. Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Green Tea Herbal Eye Mask ($35)

This eye mask will have you channeling your inner celebrity Instagram selfie. Ever wake up with bags under your eyes from the night before? Especially as a college student, it never seems like we can catch up on sleep. This Green Tea Herbal Eye Mask will leave you with hydrated, glowing under eyes that make you look like you got 10+ hours of sleep.

10. Sephora Sheets Masks ($5.50- find them on sale!)

In a squeeze for time? Need something fun to do on a Friday night in with your besties? These Sephora Sheet masks will be your go-to. From moisturizing, to oil control, to pore perfecting, the Sephora Collection has all of your concerns covered, and for a great price, too!

It is important to remember that it is never too early to start caring for your skin! With any of these ten masks, you will be sure to have your healthiest, youngest-looking skin for as long as possible. Your skin is with you for your entire life so, embrace it and care for it like it belongs to someone you love!
