The HC F&M Team weighs in on what our spring break plans are, since it’s next week! Get excited y’all!

“I’m going home to my big, comfortable bed and sleeping the stress away.”–Mikey Addady ’15

“I’ll be going to New Orleans, LA over Spring Break. I’ll probably be in the French Quarter, and think I’ll be going to the Beaux Arts Ball, which is an annual ball Tulane holds each year. It’ll be a lot of fun.”–Caroline Hirsh ’16

“I am lucky to have almost two Spring Breaks since I am studying abroad in Spain. In Spain, the spring is full of different celebration in different regions. Since I am in Valencia, I will be celebrating Fallas from March 15-19. During this time, I will be hanging out in Valencia exploring the neighborhoods which will be filled with Fallas statues. The monuments are huge and many of the streets are decorated with lights. While some of the festivities run all through March, these five days are filled with the unveiling of the Fallas statues that at the end of the 5 days are burned. I’m super excited to participate in the celebration and I’m still not quite sure what will happened.

For my longer Spring Break which will take place over Easter, I have some pretty exciting plans. A friend and I are going to take a trip to Ireland and England. We will start off in Dublin and then take a boat into Holyhead. From there we are going to explore Liverpool, home of the Beatles, and then continue south to Birmingham, Oxford, ending in London.”–Alex Sauer ’15

“As spring break approaches and begins next week, starting the 7th of March, I begin to figure out my plans. Thursday evening I will head up to the Big Apple to visit an alum of F&M and watch him perform live at the Trash Bar. I will spend the weekend there to explore a few amazing and free exhibits like the MOMA which is free Fridays from 4-8pm. Saturday I will be smelling some beautiful flowers at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden which is free from 10am-noon. Saturday night will be a stay in time to relax and reflect on the days wonders. Sunday will be a time to spend with my many wonderful girlfriends and explore the city some more and find a fun and funky restaurant to sit and catch each other up on life’s many endeavors. The rest of my time will be spent in Litchfield, Connecticut at my good friends house enjoying family time before heading back home to South Jersey for the last few days of break. There I will enter into the city of Philadelphia during the weekend of the 14th to visit another museum with my best friend of ten plus years and celebrate another friends birthday. My spring break sounds eventful, yet hectic. Im excited to see friends I haven’t seen in a while and hope all goes as planned, which is rarely the case. I’ll try my best to stay on schedule.Later Estrellas.”–Xiara Arroyo ’15

“I am heading home for some amazing niece/aunt bonding time (along with the rest of my family). Oh and some delicious hometown meals and catching up on all of my shows that I’ve been missing.”–Shira Kipnees ’15, Campus Correspondent
