So if you’ve been living under a rock, snowstorm Pax hit F&M on Thursday, leaving us with over 9 inches of snow and about an inch of rain within a 24 hour period. While the school was officially closed, professors had the choice whether or not to cancel class. Many did cancel class leaving students with a much needed snow day, the second this semester. Students also had an ice day/delayed opening earlier this semester. One girl told me she was shocked her lab was cancelled, while another student said that his professor sent him an email saying that no matter what, class was happening. A third student said her professor skied to class!

That doesn’t mean students didn’t know how to celebrate and have some fun! There were some major snowball fights on campus at night, and some students started chucking snowballs at their friends’ windows to get attention. Other students bonded together to have a movie night or catch up on homework.

So what are the chances that we’ll barely have school this semester?

Sound off readers: how did you enjoy the snow day? Are you sick of snow yet?
