A Letter to the Seniors

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at F and M chapter.

To My Dearest Senior Friends,

Congrats on graduating! You all deserve it so much and will do great things in life! Your presence will be missed all the time.

I want to take a moment to just tell you how much you all mean to me, to all of us. You have been mentors, friends, and family to all of us at different times, myself included. I can’t imagine what my college experience would have been without some of you guys in my life. What would I have done without advice on how to do makeup, how to handle rude people, or even how to run certain parts of my life?

I hope you all stay in touch and know that I truly will miss you all so much. It was hard enough in some ways leaving campus this year thanks to you all, and I know come graduation, even though I won’t be there, I’ll be a blubbering mess. That’s how much you all mean to me. You know you’ll always be welcome back to come and hang with me and I’ll always support you.

I had seen online a small poem about bigs and littles, but I think it’s appropriate here with a few adjustments. So without further ado, here’s the modified poem:

I’ll love you forever

I’ll like you for always

As long as I’m living

My F&Mily you’ll be

Good luck in the real world and don’t forget about me when I graduate next year. I promise I’ll try and keep your legacy going and make sure you all are remembered for all the awesome things you did in college.

With Love Always.

Shira

P.S. I may or may not be blaring Don’t You Forget About Me now…and probably also will do it the day of graduation as well. Please heed the words of the song.

Along with being the Her Campus Franklin and Marshall Campus Correspondent, I am also the editor-in-chief of Epilogue, F&M's literary Magazine, Staff Writer for The College Reporter, F&M's student newspaper, and a very active member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. When not hard at work, you can find me writing, reading, geeking out over Disney movies with my friends, or doing art projects.
