How to Host a Successful Superbowl Party

To host a bangin’ Superbowl party, there are a few key components.

1. A HUGE television – bigger is definitely better in this situation. Find a friend who has the largest tv, and either transport it to your dorm or apartment, or arrange to host the party in their space. Whatever works best for everyone involved. The importance of a television is obvious; how else are you going to watch the big game if you don’t have some form of television to watch it on?

2. People – while you obviously can’t have a party without friends, it’s important to make sure you let your friends know the details of your party. They need to know the details, such as when, where, and what to bring. Also, make sure your friends don’t already have other Superbowl plans. College organizations often plan parties of their own to celebrate the big game. Make sure your friends can actually attend your party!

3. Places to sit – when throwing a Superbowl party, it’s important to have plenty of space for your friends to comfortably spread out and enjoy the football. If your place isn’t big enough, find a friend’s whose is! Having a comfortable environment will make the party even better. Bonus: find a friend who has a suite or apartment where multiple rooms can be used. One to watch the game and another for the food.

4. Food – finally, the most important part of a successful Superbowl party. Everyone is going to want to be munching on something while watching the biggest football game of the season. Preparing food for your party will be easy! If you don’t have access to a kitchen, you can easily order in pizza, wings, and buy some drinks. If you do have a kitchen, it makes the entire party planning experience that much more exciting! Pinterest is a great tool to use to find some great recipes for a Superbowl party. You can make your own wings, and there are dozens of different dips you can try. My personal favorite is a Spinach artichoke dip. There are lots of other unique snack foods and desserts you can try to make. Go crazy!
