F&M’s rendition of Vagina Monologues

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at F and M chapter.

Franklin & Marshall students raised awareness to end violence against women and girls during two readings of The Vagina Monologues in the Green Room Theatre on Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20th. The production was as much all out hilarious and incredibly moving to men and women alike. With monologues ranging from first experiences, to war crimes, the broadness of the production is what really opened every member of the audience’s eyes. Each cast member brought a fresh perspective of the stories of real women who endured these real situations. It was impossible to not grasp the message of these tales from this production. More importantly as individuals although its difficult to accept that these situations exist, making it even more important than ever to spread the message, ending violence against women, making the world a safer more enjoyable place for all.
