If you’re reading this article, chances are you’ve managed to bag yourself an Itchy Feet ticket – congratulations! Now you’ve jumped the ticket-buying hurdle, however, you may find yourself now facing the age-old dilemma of what to wear! Here are some quick tips to the perfect outfit… (Illustrations by Sarah Peters from the Fashion & Beauty Team)

Itchy Feet encompasses a whole range of musical eras, so it’s an amazing excuse to experiment with past decades of fashion and style. The swinging 60’s are a great place to start – a loose, high waisted skirt combined with a basic vest or tighter top is a failsafe option. Topshop do a great range of full skirts which would look great with a plain coloured top/body. I personally think Itchy Feet is a chance to embrace bright colours, however, so head over to H&M for bargain beauties such as this colourful skirt (£12.99)!
Alternatively, a dress is always an excellent option and, though slightly more expensive (£39), this American Apparel skater dress is flattering as well as on trend, and comes in an abundance of colours.

So now for the accessories. From experience, and hours on the dancefloor, I would suggest no loose jewellery (for the sake of yourself and anyone dancing within a metre radius of you!) For this reason, go for statement hair pieces and again the brighter the better! ASOS do a great selection which are very on trend in lace, but there is always Primark as well who do some cheaper pieces such as floral hairbands – great with hair tied up.

In terms of shoes, bear one word in mind: practicality. Grab your most comfy shoes – once you’re in, you won’t want to leave the dance floor!

So now you’ve got your outfit sorted, the most important thing to remember is to have fun – embrace those swinging dance moves!
