Top Artists/Bands to See on Tour in 2014

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Exeter chapter.

2014 looks set to welcome an incredible selection of global superstars to our shores. That’s right, it’s tour time! The world’s hottest artists have been releasing their tour dates over the last few weeks and HCX is here to show you who will be thrilling you on the UK’s most legendary stages next year.

Justin Timberlake

At the end of March, the 20/20 Experience World Tour hits the UK, bringing sexy back to our little country. With the critically-acclaimed album featuring songs reminiscent of his original sound including “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors”, Justin promises to deliver a show like no other.

McBusted

What could possibly be better than seeing your favourite 90s boy band in the flesh? Seeing two of them merged together to form possibly the greatest super group we’ve ever seen. Earlier this month it was announced that McFly and James and Matt from Busted (Charlie who?) were combining to tour some of the UK’s biggest venues. If their performance on Children in Need was anything to go by, this will be an unmissable tour.

Katy Perry

With the release of her fourth album, Prism, Katy is gearing up to a world tour next year and will visit various venues in England and Northern Ireland. Promising to be a feast for the eyes, her big hits “Roar” and “Unconditionally” are bound to be crowd pleasers.

One Direction

Our 5 favourite guilty pleasures have only recently finished their world tour for their second album, with the release of their third – they’re hitting the stadiums. With shows in Wembley, Croke Park and Manchester’s Ethiad the boys will be performing to upwards of 50,000 screaming fans. If you’re willing to brave the thousands of hormonal tweens to see the lads, it’s bound to be an unforgettable experience.

Miley Cyrus

The girl of the moment, how could we miss Miley from the list? Announced in October, the twerk-tastic pop princess will tour her new album Bangerz in 2014, with dates in the US and Canada already announced. Her Campus Exeter can’t even imagine what sights will be seen in these shows, but rest assured it’ll be something to tell your Grandkids about (or not). Watch this space for UK tour dates…
