Loved by women everywhere, the fantastic sequel to Bridget Jones’ Diary is well known for the very entertaining skiing scenes; shot in the scenic village of Lech, Austria. This village is home to many world and Olympic ski champions and it is a popular holiday destination for Royal families and celebrities.

 

 

  1. The Notebook

 

 

The Notebook has numerous boat scenes, which were all filmed at Cypress Gardens in South Carolina.This incredibly beautiful botanical garden, which features in over 16 films and series, is open 361 days of the year and is definitely worth a visit.

 

  1. Letters to Juliet

 

 

“Il Club di Giulietta” answers letters seeking romantic advice from all over the world; a concept depicted in this film. Verona is a city in the north of Italy, which attracts many tourists each year due to it’s shows, operas and artistic heritage. With at least three of Shakespeare’s plays set in this gorgeous city, it certainly warrants a place on our list.

The county of Wicklow, Ireland features in this film that is guaranteed to get tears rolling. Known as the Garden of Ireland, it provides an extremely picturesque backdrop to scenes of wandering through the mountains and rowing on Blessington Lake.

Set on the fictional island of Kalokairi, Mamma Mia! is filmed primarily on the greek island of Skopelos which is one of the Sporades Islands. The main filming location was Kastani beach, where the beach bar and jetty were constructed especially for the film. Skopelos has two mountains on the island and is known as “The Green and Blue Island”.
