So you’ve bought your tickets for a Hallowe’en night out, decided who you will go as, but you’re still unsure how to create the look without spending a fortune. Well, here at Her Campus, we’ve been searching over the Web for the best make-up tutorials around. From sweet mermaids, to scary Jokers or sexy Cat Woman, here are the best ways to turn into your chosen character for the night.
1. Joker
Pulling off this look can be hard as a girl, but we think this video shows you how to do it and is great if you want to go all-out this Hallowe’en.
2. Mermaid
If you don’t love the idea of going as something scary this Hallowe’en then why not try the Mermaid look? This tutorial shows you how to create pretty but dramatic eye make-up perfect for a girly take on Hallowe’en.
3. Creepy Doll
Looking for something scary, and a little different? Going as a creepy doll may just be for you. This tutorial shows you how to create the look with all the make-up you have at home, plus some fake eye-lashes. Be warned though, your friends may not recognise you with this look.
4. Vampire Princess
If you secretly still love the days of vampires and Twilight then going as a Vampire Princess will suit you. This tutorial uses dramatic ways of re-drawing eyebrows and smokey eyes to create a sexy and scary look perfect for a Hallowe’en look in the clubs.

Of course we can’t forget the traditional witch-look for Hallowe’en. This tutorial from v-loger’s favourite, PixiWoo, uses cheap face paint to create a very stunning look, so perfect for us students.

Feel like recreating the Mean Girl’s Vampire Bride look? Well this tutorial will show you how. It’s surprisingly simple, so if you’ve left things to the last minute then this may be the tutorial for you.
8. Bellatrix Lestrange
If you’re a fan of Harry Potter, then make it Hallowe’en-esque and dress up as Bellatrix Lestrange. This tutorial will even give you hair ideas and is a little different to your average witch outfit.
9. CatWoman
This tutorial will show you how to create the classic sexy Hallowe’en look. Again, it’s surprisingly simple and will wow at any house party.
10. Zombie
Finally, this Glamorous Zombie tutorial will be perfect for those of you who want to be scary but still look good in Arena! Make sure you get some fake blood to do this look though.
Whatever character you do go as for Hallowe’en this year, enjoy experimenting with the make-up; it’s the one day a year you can do so. If it does go wrong then you can just say it’s part of your costume!
