If you are anything like me or the 17.2 million other people that have watched People We Meet on Vacation, you might be craving a holiday like the many Alex and Poppy take. People We Meet on Vacation is based on a book by Emily Henry and showcases numerous trips with beautiful scenery throughout the film which I will be ranking based on how much I would like to go on them. Warning, there may be spoilers ahead.

7. Linfield, Ohio

Whilst some may not consider this one of their trips, technically it is the first place they travelled together. Linfield is actually a fictitious place created by the author but for purposes of this article I will be treating it as real. From the brief amount we are shown, it likes like a perfectly nice, quaint town, however after Poppy’s less than glowing review of the place I can’t say it is on the top of my list.

6. New York

Again, this is not technically a trip they took, rather Alex taking a trip to see Poppy, who was ill. I have been to New York before and although I loved my time there, Poppy and Alex’s trip spent most of their time inside their apartment which I wouldn’t be eager to do.

5. New Orleans

This was the second official trip they took together and one of my favourites to watch with the iconic blue wig and dance scene. I’m not sure I would want to take a honeymoon there, but it seems like a brilliant place to take a fake honeymoon especially with all the free stuff Alex and Poppy got. The streets were vibrant and joyous, filled with music and laughter and definitely something I would want to experience. Also, I have craved beignets ever since watching the film.

4. Norway

Norway, the trip that never was. Whilst I can’t assess the trip properly due to them not making it, Norway is somewhere I would love to go for the scenery and possibility of seeing the Northern lights. The ice hotel they planned to stay at will definitely be going on my bucket list.

3. Squamish, Canada

This is the first official trip that began the tradition and was breath-taking with the never-ending greenery. Camping would never be my first choice for a trip; however, I would be willing to rough it on a campsite in exchange of the glorious hikes available and the idea of a campfire does seem sweet. I absolutely love Poppy’s sense of adventure in straying from the beaten path, and it allowed them to discover gems like the Silver Pine Art Market and the forest campsite allowing for even more adventures. Overall, with the beautiful lakes and endless mountains this is a trip I’d be more than happy to take.

2.  Barcelona, Spain

This is the final trip they are both on, although they didn’t take it together. Their wedding venue was absolutely stunning and somewhere I would be more than happy to get married. With picturesque streets you could wander for hours, I would be happy to go on holiday there again.

1. Tuscany, Italy

In first place, the trip I would like to go on most is their final trip they took together to Tuscany. In my opinion this is the prettiest one with them staying in the most beautiful villa surrounded by gorgeous flowers and trees. I would even suffer through the awkward dinner for the platter of cheeses and to sit in the open courtyard. Overall, the beautiful scenery won me over to make this the trip I would like to take the most.
