Christmas is celebrated by everyone differently. We all have good food, open some presents and crack open that bottle of fizz the family have been saving. But outfit choice is key, no matter what your plans are. So here are a few ideas for how to dress in style (or comfort) for the big day on the 25th

Pyjamas

Personally, my favourite outfit for Xmas day. Perfect for opening up presents on Christmas morning and the ideal outfit for the necessary Christmas day nap. At the moment, matching pyjamas with the family seem all the hype… even for the dog. So, you could all match together or wear your own ones to give just a little bit of variety. You could even wear a nice jumper over them if dinner calls for a little bit of formality.

Hoodie & Joggers

Similar to pyjamas but some people prefer to get semi-dressed for the day. A baggy hoodie, maybe with a splash of colour, is ideal for hiding the inevitable Christmas belly after all that food. Elasticated waist trackies also help you feel more comfortable when attempting to eat your body weight in food. Accessorise with a Santa hat, some festive earrings or some jewellery to add some festive cheer.

Sequins

For all those who live the glamorous high life on Christmas day, sequins will be your best friend. Lots of silver and gold will have you looking the festive part. Think of the cute Instagram pics of you stood in your sequins, next to the tree with a glass of bubbly! You could also re-wear the sparkly outfit for New Years Eve. Everyone needs some sparkle in their life and Christmas is the best excuse!

Jumpsuits

Now I love these! So comfy and you buy ones that are casual or formal, perfect for however you celebrate. They can also be used throughout the year for cosy days at home, shopping trips, holidays and special occasions. Shops like ASOS, New Look and Missguided offer loads of these in a range of colours. Sequins, animal print, block colours, they have it all.

Anything Red or Silver

Red and silver epitomise Christmas in colour. Pretty much anything in these colours will make you shine on Christmas day. Perfect for getting you in that festive mood for bopping around the tree. You may also match with your decorations! Jewellery is a really cute way of adding some silver into your outfit. Silver hoops, a necklace or a ring just adds that extra bit of wow!
