Luxury Resort of the Week: The Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Exeter chapter.

We at HCX have found a perfect tropical paradise that is like no other. We are all feeling swamped by work now that we are reaching the end of term, and all we want to do is be pampered and relax in the idyllic location that is the Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora. A girl can dream!

Picture this, an over water Bungalow resting over turquoise waters, with tropical coconut trees and white sandy beaches surrounding you. If that doesn’t scream Paradise then we don’t know what does!

This Polynesian island is simply a haven. 100 scattered bungalows rest on stilts over the stunning waters of the lagoon. Thatched roofs, and walls of volcanic stone provide heavenly serenity and a holiday experience with a difference. The breathtaking panoramic views are truly exquisite. Lay back and relax on your private deck whilst facing the coral filled, turquoise blue waters and the majestic rock peaks of Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia.

Treated with your personal private plunge pool, it is the perfect place for relaxation and privacy. With bedroom access to the pool, luxury is right on your doorstep. There is also a ladder off your private decking with access into the Lagoon. Even when you are inside the bungalow you still feel very much a part of the beautiful scenery. The glass panels looking down into the lagoon and up into the sky means you can sunbathe without even having to go outside, or lay stargazing from the comfort of your bedroom. Even the bathrooms can open up to the deck – you can have a bath gazing into the serene waters of the Pacific. Sit back, soak and relax amongst the tropical backdrop of your very own secluded utopia.

Not forgetting the spectacular onshore villas that are perfect for groups. Located on the stunning white sandy beach surrounded by tropical foliage, the location is truly mesmerizing! Experience sunset views like no other. Complete with an enclosed private garden filled with coconut trees, a private pool, whirlpool and hammock.

There is an array of activities to experience whilst in Bora Bora. Take a dip into an oasis; the all year round warm South Pacific Waters are perfect for snorkelers or for those wanting a relaxing swim. The warm weather all year round due to the tropical climate is a sun worshippers dream. For those wanting to get involved in activities, why not try snorkeling – we want to visit the Lagoon Sanctuary – a lagoon full of exotic marine life making for a spectacular snorkeling location! Try scuba diving, tennis, or eat in the wide variety of restaurants.

Our favourite activity has to be the Spa, located at the edge of the lagoon and surrounded by tropical groves and views of the Pacific Ocean. The Holistic Centre restores both body and mind through the use of Bora Bora’s natural resources of vanilla, monoi and tamanu. Or lay back and relax at the relaxation lounges, indulge in the outdoor vitality pool and the steam room. For those wanting to experience something different or already have a keen interest there are also yoga and meditation sessions.

For a group of friends we at HCX think a cruise of the island is an experience not to miss out on! Set off from the resort on a Tahitian cocktail cruise aboard a luxury catamaran, see views of white sand islets and experience the perfect sunrise whilst you dine under the stars.

We at HXC would love to escape to Bora Bora for the perfect hideaway retreat!
