Ladies, meet this week’s campus cutie. We searched high and low for Exeter’s finest…and when we couldn’t find that, we settled for Lawrence Marsh. We think you’ll agree, he scrubs up pretty well! We sat him down for a good grilling over coffee, and his answers were cheesy, genuine and hilarious in equal measures. We hope you enjoy reading them!

Campus Cutie: Lawrence Marsh

Studying: Law
Relationship status: Taken
Activities involved in: Cricket and Snowsports
Hometown: Saltash, Cornwall

What do you look for in a girl?

“Someone who is willing to laugh out loud and doesn’t hide their emotions. Whilst looks do play a part, personality and comparability are far more important! I don’t have a particular type, but any girl who can catch my attention and is engaging is a winner.”

What would be your ideal first date?

“The activity doesn’t matter as long as it’s with the right person. Ideally, we’d do something to allow us to get to know each other better and is a bit different – something other than the standard and stereotypical date.”

If you were stranded on a desert island, what would be your three must haves?

“Bear Grylls, a boat and a map” – we like your logic!

What was the last song you listened to?

Sweet Nothing – Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch

What would be a dealmaker in a relationship?

“When a girl is totally comfortable around me and accepts who I am.”

And a dealbreaker?

“Someone who isn’t genuine, and is too superficial”

What’s your proudest moment?

“Hearing two people in the space of one week ask – “Who do you think I am, Lawrence Marsh?!”

If you could visit one place in the world, where would you go?

“Somewhere spectacular. I’d like to climb a mountain, so let’s say Mount Everest!”

If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

“Original, flamboyant and spontaneous”

One interesting fact about yourself

“I can strawpedo a bottle of wine in 4 seconds”
