As we’re are sure you are all aware Skyfall, the latest instalment in the James Bond franchise hit our screens this weekend. Whilst some of us may not confess to being die-hard action movie fans, one has to applaud the casting directors of these films, who never fail to pick extremely attractive men. With such gorgeous leads, it is understandable why it is so difficult to resist the charm of Bond uttering the well-known phrase, “the name’s Bond. James Bond.” We go weak at the knees, just at the thought of it! To celebrate the 23rd film of the franchise, HCX thought that we would appreciate James Bond the best way we can: by trying to decide who is the hottest Bond.

6. George Lazenby
Only appearing in one film of the franchise, On Her Majesty’s Service (1969), Lazenby unfortunately wins the award for least attractive Bond. It would seem those casting Bond would agree, with Lazenby only being given the role after Timothy Dalton thought himself too young to play the part. Ironically, he was cast not for his acting ability but his good looks with the director thinking if he couldn’t act well, at least he would look the part! Unfortunately for Lazenby, the public felt he was not fit for either and so it must have come as a relief when Lazenby announced he was only doing one film!

5. Timothy Dalton
Dalton appeared in two films of the Bond franchise, but by no means did he fail to make an impression on his audience. Whilst initially rejecting the role stating “when you’ve seen Bond from the beginning, you don’t take over from Sean Connery”, Dalton went on to replace Roger Moore whom he described as a “fine Bond…but a little techno-pop”. Dalton’s dark portrayal of Bond was a contrast to the ways in which the character had previously been played and what made him so amazingly attractive!

4. Roger Moore
Starring in 7 of the 23 films, it is no wonder that Moore comes so high up on our list. He is certainly the most famous Bond; winning the award for Best Bond in 2004. The oldest of the James Bond characters, he is by no means the least attractive. Playing the 007 for 12 years, Moore was 58 during the filming of his final film in the franchise – A View to Kill. With his debonair playboy attitude, he stole the hearts of millions and is continually revered for handsome good looks.

3. Daniel Craig
We’re not sure that this nomination requires that much explanation. We know you are all thinking it. That picture of him coming out of the water in tight, tight Speedos… Need we say more? Daniel Craig, our most recent Bond, although controversial in choice (not fitting the tall, dark and handsome stereotype) took to our screens in 2006 and gave us all a little bit more than we bargained for in terms of heart-throb potential. On being given the role, Craig said he wanted to add some “emotional depth” to the character. A task we think you’ll agree he has definitely succeeded in!

2. Pierce Brosnan
Second most handsome Bond definitely has to go to good old Pierce. Fitting the tall, dark and handsome stereotype beautifully, Brosnan definitely fulfilled the role. Being voted the most likely Bond with whom married women would have an affair with, it is no wonder the hunky actor has come so high up on a list of hotties! We have to say, his role in Mamma Mia certainly added to his attractiveness- a secret agent and a musician? Amazing!

1. Sean Connery
Number One spot has to go to the silver fox: Sean Connery. Connery is the classic Bond. Originally being cast for the role due to his natural “sexual charisma” Connery convincingly wooed both Bond girls and audiences all over the world. With his cheeky grin and incredible charm, it is easy to see how irresistible he can be! Despite being several years our senior, HCX are not ashamed to admit that if the Sean Connery Bond happened to be spotted out in TP today, there would certainly be a few stride-of-prides home the next day!

There you have it then-“shaken not stirred” – the most attractive James Bond. Do you agree? If after reading this you need your James Bond fix, hit up HMV, grab a Bond box-set and have a 007 movie marathon to decide for yourself who the most attractive Bond really is!
