Leading on from Part One: Ireland, Her Campus Exeter brings you the next installment… But this time get the Factor 50 sunblock and sunglasses at the ready. Here comes USA festivals galore!

When? Due to the high success of the 2013 festival, Sasquatch now takes place over two weekends, meaning the festivities are spread out!
Memorial Weekend: 23rd May to 25th May 2014
Fourth of July Weekend: 4th July to 6th July 2014
Where? Gorge Amphitheatre, George, Washington
How Much? Tickets for BOTH weekends cost $550, whereas if you only want one of the weekends (Memorial Day OR Fourth of July weekend) tickets cost $325.00.
Who? What makes this festival different is that the two weekends have completely different line ups. The May set list includes Outkast, Queens of the Stone Ages, M.I.A., Foster the People, Kid Cudi and Rudimental. The July set list includes New Order, Sound garden, Frank Ocean, La Roux, Jake Bugg, Spoon, Gold Panda and Night Beats. Watch the incredibly weird trailer here.
Highlights: Highlights from previous years include Artic Monkeys, The XX, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon and Beastie Boys!

When? 6th – 8th June 2014
Where? Randells Island, New York
How Much? The general admission tickets cost $250 for the three day event, for the basic festival experience. However, this being NYC they have at the other end of the spectrum Super VIP tickets for a staggering $2,000. This offers a Concierge service on-site to handle customer service, access to side stage viewing, access to the Freeloaders Lounge, a backstage bar with free drinks and a merchandise pack (including 1 festival t-shirt, 1 poster, and a pair of sunglasses). Pocket change (!)
Who? With artists such as Outkast, Jack White, Vampire Weekend and the Strokes leading the way with this festival, Governor Ball fans are set to be impressed with this year’s set list. Other artists set to play include Skrillex, Disclosure, J. Cole, Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, James Blake, The Kills and the Naked & Famous.
Highlights: 2013 saw a good year for the ball, with artists such as Kayne West and Kings of Leon performing epic sets. Check out the Governor’s ball YouTube account for loads of highlights!

Known throughout the USA as ‘hipster capital’, with videos such as this highlighting the stereotype. However, with the epic set list this year, it is not one to miss! The difference with Coachella is, whilst usually festivals usually only have one weekend a year, Coachella repeats the whole festival again two weeks later, meaning if you miss week one, you have not missed out! It’s like if Glastonbury had two weekends of musical awesomeness.

When? Week One: 11th – 13th April 2014 – Week Two: 18th – 20th April 2014
Where? Empire Polo Club, Indio, California
How Much? With the majority of tickets sold out, the only tickets available are the Safari lodgings at a cool $6500 for two people! The Safari lodgings include queen-sized beds, air conditioning and electricity. Not the usual festival experience, that’s for sure! With general weekend tickets costing around $375, Her Campus wishes they booked their tickets earlier.
Who? With bands such as Outkast, Muse and Arcade Fire headlining this year, Her Campus is ecstatically excited for this year’s Coachella. Other artists playing include the Glitch Mob, Duke Dumont, Lorde, MGMT, Disclosure and Lana Del Ray.
Highlights: Coachella has a reputation since its conception in 1999 for bringing in the best bands such as Oasis (2002), Red Hot Chilli Peppers (2003 and 2013), The Cure (2004 and 2009) and New Order (2005) umongst others. All previous lineups can be found here.
