It’s fair to say we have all only just about recovered (physically and mentally) from HCX and Original’s Sin’s first night of mayhem, last Thursday. Rococos Club played host to the competition to find the Fittest Fresher in Exeter, 2012. The voting for the event took place all last week on the Original Sin Facebook page. Despite the overwhelming popularity of some slight anomalies, such as Uni Unay, by Thursday afternoon the six finalists were announced by the Original Sin team. The 3 boys in the finals were: James Funnel Knott, Harry Rascal Chamberlain and Sam Silver. The 3 lovely ladies were: Liv Wilkerson, Megan Davies, Katie Sanders.

Us HerCampus girls revelled in the fresh ‘talent’, spotting a fair few campus cuties contenders and raising awareness to First year girls who did not previously know about the website. The photography division of HCX were out in style and a great many fabulous photos of the night were taken, which can be found on both the HerCampus and Original Sin Facebook pages (more to come this week!)

In the VIP room, HerCampus played host to the six finalists before they embarked on the final leg of the competition upon the Rococos stage. Undoubtedly the highlight of the night, if slightly chaotic, was the contestant’s talent contest. As one might have guessed this was dominated by rapping, some interesting dance moves and on occasion a little too much bare flesh. All finalists thankfully left slightly more covered up with their Young Ones Onsies. The night had been massive success, with a huge turnout!

I would like to say a massive thank you to all involved, especially Georgie Hazell and those girls from the Marketing team who worked at the event! Nights like this are key to the successful promotion of HerCampus in Exeter!

Watch this space for interviews with the joint winners and further info on HCX and Original Sin nights.
