So whether you are looking to party the night away, or just to drown the worries of those impending deadlines, Hatts has something to offer for everyone.
By day a coffee shop, by night Artigiano transforms into a swish wine and cocktail bar. Eclectic mixes such an ‘Espresso Martini’ or an ‘Elderflower Fizz’ can be enjoyed alongside live music on Thursday evenings. Offering tasty nibbles and pizzas throughout the night, Artigiano provides the perfect start to a great night out. Why not also try their cocktail class with one of their resident ‘mixologists’ for just £20 per person?
Coming from the guys who graced Exeter Highstreet with Artigiano, Base and Barley is Exeter’s most recent addition to the bar scene. Offering craft beers, as well as cocktails starting from £6.95, it is definitely worth a visit. For when the munchies set in it serves scrumptious sourdough pizzas under twinkling fairy lights.
Established in 2010, The Monkey Suit remains a firm favourite with Exeter students. Their delicious cocktails start at a competitive £3.95 which can be enjoyed in a cosy, candlelit corner or listening to one of their many live bands. The Monkey Suit also provides the perfect place for any party (with discounts for students) – their Club Hire accommodates up to 180 whilst the VIP Hire offers a more intimate setting for smaller parties.
