Eat Your Way to Better Sex

Breaking news: food can make you horny, I repeat food can make you horny. I know girls, this article looks too good to be true. Food and sex, two of life’s most glorious gifts, working together as a team. Whether you want to spice things up with your boyfriend or show your f*ck buddy an even better time, here at Her Campus, we’re going to give you the top tips on how to eat your way to better, longer and hotter sex.

For the average Exeter student, the news that the avocado will spice up things in the bedroom is practically orgasmic alone. The fruit is rich in unsaturated fat and low in saturated fat meaning that it’s good for your heart and your arteries. Fitness and stamina are important for a healthy sex life. Throw some avocado into a salad, a sandwich or make some guacamole! Chomping down on this delicious treat will keep your heart beating strong and blood flowing to the right places.

Another very middle class snack but research has found that almonds are incredibly nutrient dense, most prominently filled with zinc which is proven to be a dramatic libido booster. Almond milk is surprisingly tasty, add it to your cereal or sprinkle some almonds in your yogurt. For lack of a better phrase, go nuts.

What we once considered an old wives tale actually turns out to be true. Oysters have been shown to be a natural aphrodisiac, even though they look like a large piece of phlegm. They also contain that magic ingredient, zinc! A bit more expensive but share an oyster platter in a restaurant with your significant other and you’ll be ripping each others clothes off by the time you get home (or maybe before then)

This snack is a little more riskay. Chilli is proven to increase heart rate, metabolism and sweat, similar to sex, but you can over do it. Adding a little spice to your evening meal will have things heating up by dessert but over doing it and you’ll both be sat drinking pints of milk, feeling bloated in and incredibly unsexual. So be careful and spice up your life.

These are just a few examples of food you can add to your diet to get the senses tingling so get cooking, you’ll need your strength later ;)
