Are there any fashion rules when it comes to Coachella? It appears not… countless celebrities and music lovers took to this festival sporting an array of styles from bohemian to more glamorous and adventurous looks.
With great British festivals such as Glastobury coming up, here are some of the main trends and styles showcased throughout the festival to inspire you this summer.
Cut-offs
Denim distressed cut-off shorts can be viewed as the staple of any festival wardrobe and these appeared to be the go-to item for many. Paired with lace tops, it created an effortless style.
Bikinis
The many pool parties hosted by various magazines and businesses saw beach wear being worn as outwear. Shorts teamed with a bikini top or bikinis worn under sheer dresses the festival goers to be prepared for all occasions.
Kimonos/fringing
Loose fitting cover-ups in various colours and patterns added colour to many outfits and defined the festival look. Many people also opted for the addition of fringing to their look to further echo a typical festival style.
Gothic
Kendall and Kylie Jenner mixed things up with a gothic twist on the usual festival attire. Seen together dressed head to toe in black, this fashion statement stood out from more traditional festival looks.
Flower Crowns
Headbands or pieces adorned in flowers appeared to be another look adopted by many at Coachella this year. Teamed with maxi dresses this effortlessly showed off the bohemian classic festival look.
Sunglasses
Sunglasses are an essential accessory for Coachella. Many teamed their outfits with a classic pair of Raybans, while others were more daring, choosing eye catching decorative sunglasses.

A leather jacket is another festival staple. Whether customized, coloured or a biker style, there were many leather jackets on show.

Wearing a wetsuit/sport inspired black bikini, novelty sunglasses, a flower crown and a customised fringed leather jacket, Poppy Delevingne had the perfect festival pool party outfit.
