With the fast pace of technology today, what better way to find love this year than by using an app on your smart phone?! It’s an easy option for a hectic lifestyle, convenient for those weighed down by last minute deadlines and lastly, simple and fun to use! Her Campus Exeter has devised a list of what we think are the top 5 ‘Love Apps’ that are around and here is our verdict:
- Match.com: With this free app search the website for that special someone or try your hand at wooing another singleton that lives near you all from your mobile! Simple and easy!
- The Love Calculator: The Love Calculator app allows your inner obsessive to secretly search the compatibility rating of you and your loved one. Having found out your compatibility rating, it’s up to you to decide if your romance is ‘meant to be!” (Note: don’t take too seriously!)
- Couple Foreplay- Sex Game: This ingenious app will be a hit with all those students on a budget, as it is also completely free! This app creates a novel game that allows you to become ‘closer’ to your significant other in a fun, intimate and inventive way!
- Sweethearts: New England Confectionery Company “Sweethearts” app lets users send sugary gifts to their significant other. Simply type a message onto the screen, and it appears on the candy heart. Users can then send the creation through e-mail or upload it through Twitter to share their message with that special someone.
- Black Book: This one is for all the dating guru’s out there! The app allows users to add names, addresses, phone numbers and even photos for past and future dates. The app even allows you to tag the best dates for future reference. Who said it wasn’t easy to organise your love life!
And if it is all going horrendously wrong, here is an added bonus: “The Bad Date Rescue Map”. This free app allows you to schedule in a fake phone call that can be snoozed or declined depending on how successfully the date is going!
It was so difficult to try and pin point the top 5 ‘love’ apps. Some are amusing, some heartfelt and others downright dirty so it is definitely worth a visit to the app store! Even if you are on a limited budget there is a plethora of free apps that might also spark your fancy, so get searching!
