If you’re a last minute learner, you have probably been spending most of your time since Easter at the library, and have probably been off the sesh for a while. If you are anything like me, the only thing getting you through hours of revision, is the thought of everything you can do after this dreadful period ends. In case you haven’t already made plans for post-exams (other than going out every night), fear not! HCX has got you covered!

Cavern Reopening: 24th of May

We here at Exeter have missed out a whole year of what could’ve been great nights a the Cavern after a fire caused it to shut down last year. If indie music is your thing, be sure not to miss out on with 3 great acts- Jeff Rosenstock, Doe and American Enthusiasm!

Poltimore Festival: 28th of May

Poltimore Festival is probably the best day to beat your Sunday laziness and spend a whole day exploring and discovering new music support of the best music, art, theatre, comedy, and much more! This one promises to be a big hit with local and independent food and drink, street magic, bouncy castles, laser quest, secret cinema, yoga in the woods to name a few! Tickets are only £12 and profits go towards the restoration of Poltimore House as a future creative space.

Touch Duckes: 1st-2nd of June

Touch Duckes is a touch rugby and rounders tournament that goes on throughout the day with the afterparty at our beloved Timepiece! Regardless if you have friends taking part, this is a fun event to attend with food, drinks and live music.

The Enchanted Garden Ball: 3rd of June

Better known as EGB, this is said to officially mark the end of the year and the beginning of summer. Think fairground rides, food stalls and great music; with the added bonus of dressing up all fancy, minus the pain of wearing high heels (trust me, not a wise decision for EGB). EGB tickets sold out almost instantly but there’s always people reselling tickets on Facebook closer to the date.

Exefest: 4th of June

Over the next few months, music festivals are going to be EVERYWHERE. Other than the stress of planning your travel and stay, tickets cost a fortune. So, why better way than to have the experience right here on our campus? Exefest is being headlined by Example and other performed include some of our cheese favourites such as Cascada and Wheatus and also acts such as The Hoosiers, Sweat and Private Agenda.

I am the Editor for Culture here at Her Campus Exeter. I love long walks (to the fridge, of course), and binge watching chick flicks. Mean Girls is my favourite movie and I quote it way more frequently than I should. I am a second year Law student trying to adult but occasionally failing at it.
