We at Her Campus have been doing our research to try and decipher the mysteries of the male mind. Did he mean “See ya later” or “See you later” – the timeless conundrum? Obviously, in an ideal world, if you don’t understand what he means, just ask! But if that fails, here’s just a brief run down of what he probably means. Take it with a pinch (or a heap) of salt though.
- “I don’t care what you wear” –
He means: “To be honest, right now I’m just worried about the time. I probably won’t really notice what you’re wearing so can we just go now?”
- “She’s just a friend”-
He means: “She is really just a friend. If we’d had sex, we probably wouldn’t still be friends”
- “I never masturbate”-
He means: “I masturbate quite a lot.”
- “I never watch porn”-
He means: “I watch porn but I don’t want you to feel insecure.”
- “I’m really tired”
He means: “I still want sex, obviously. But you go on top?”
- “I’ll call you”
He means: “I’m definitely not going to call you. I might message. But don’t hold your breath.”
- “I’m not really looking for a relationship right now”
He means: “I’m not really interested in you but I don’t want you to think it’s your fault.
- “I’m fine”
He means: “I’m not fine, but I don’t wanna talk about it with you and I’m not gonna tell you what is going on.”
- “Netflix and chill?”
He means: “Come over and have sex with me”
- “I’m hungry”
He means: “Make me something to eat”
- “How do you know that guy?”
He means: “Have you slept with him?”
- “I didn’t notice her”
He means: “Of course I saw her, but I’m never gonna tell you that I found her attractive.”

He means: “I really like that I can get a lot of food and you will share it with me”
14. “It’s a long story.”
He means: “I don’t wanna get into it because I know it will make me look bad.”
15. “Let me give you a massage”
He means: “Let’s have sex”
