It’s that time of the year again when people get to dress up in crazy, scary, cute, sexy and smart costumes and show the world another side of themselves. And even though for most people Halloween is just a excuse to dress up, got out and have fun, some of us enjoy doing that while rocking a costume with meaning. So here are some ideas for those who want to rock a #BossBabe costume this Halloween!

1. Frida Kahlo: Feminist icon and painter. 

2.  Suffragette: A woman seeking the right to vote through organized protest – members of women’s organizations in the late-19th and early-20th centuries which advocated for womens rights to vote in public elections. We have the rights we have today becaue of the sacrifices these women made. 

3. Michelle Obama: Lawyer, writer and First Lady of 44th and current USA President Barack Obama. 

4. Hillary Clinton: Future Madame President #NastyWoman 

5. Olivia Pope: The badass female protagonists of TV series “Scandal.” Olivia Pope is the best fixer in Washigton D.C., a title she earned when she undertook the Presidential campaign and elected Fitzerald Grant as President. What makes Olivia Pope the best is that she doesn’t only fix problems. She fixes clients. She fixes people.  

6. Malala Yousafzai: Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate.

7. Cleopatra: As queen of ancient Egypt, Cleopatra is one of the most famous female rulers in history.

8. Beyonce: Singer, songwriter, record producer, actress and race & gender activist.

9. Rosie the Riveter: We CAN do it!

10. Angela Davis: The brilliant scholar, author and activist also rocked a deeply cool look back in the day, and is pretty much the definition of badass.

11. Leslie Knope: Protagonist of the comedy Parks and Recreation, and it is implied that she would be the future Madame President?!

13. Hermione Granger: Daring, brave, loyal, and — above all — brilliant.

14. Joan of Arc: The original female hero. Martyr, saint and military leader Joan of Arc, acting under divine guidance, she led the French army to victory over the English during the Hundred Years’ War.
