Senior year, working at a church doing all of their design work.

I own a small branding agency (8 employees).
How did you find your current job?
Started it in Nov. 2014!
What was the process you went through to land your job?
Worked full time in the design field for 4-5 years, freelancing on the side. Built up the side work to be significant enough to leave my full time job and start hiring others.
What is one tip you would give to college students going into their first interview?
Discover what makes you unique and put a megaphone in front of it. Don’t say what you think they want to hear. Be honest about lack of experience (and your future dreams). Business owners are looking for teachable people; not experts.
If you could tell your college self one thing, what would it be?
Every “overnight success” is 10 years in the making. Work hard behind the scenes and when the time is right to go public, be brave!
