Thoughts on the 2025 Grammy’s

Every year the Grammys bring a major buzz online, and I myself always find myself invested in everything about it. I wanted to share my thoughts on all things Grammys, from outfits to performances!

Outfits

Overall, there were some great outfits this year, and some not so great in my opinion. While alot of celebrities try to go big, I noticed a lot of celebrities also kept it pretty simple this year. Sometimes I think something simple can be more classy, but it can also come across as boring to some.

My top favorite looks this year were Alicia Keys, Olivia Rodrigo, Kelsea Ballerini, and Taylor Swift. I am biased with my favorites because Taylor and Kelsea are some of my favorite singers, but I think their outfits were amazing. I loved Alicia’s outfit and how she coordinated her earrings. Olivia’s was simple with all black, but I think it was classy and still somewhat unique for a black dress. My least favorite looks were Miley Cyrus, Julia Fox, and Madison Beer. Julia’s look for me was not what I think fits in the Grammys, and I wasn’t the biggest fan of how sheer Madison Beer’s dress was. For Miley, I think it was just not very exciting for the Grammys.

Awards

Overall, I think that the awards this year were very scattered, and some of them were not what I was expecting at all.

Starting with Kendrick Lamar, he won quite a few Grammys but we watched him win Record and Song of the Year for “Not Like Us”. I think he did deserve his Grammys, that song took over my whole social media, and definitely captured this past year.

Some of the other awards that I was happy with were Sabrina Carpenter winning Best Pop Vocal album. I think this album was definitely a hit and deserved the hype. Chappell Roan winning Best New Artist was also definitely deserved. I don’t listen to her much but she really gained a ton of popularity this past year.

For Beyonce’s awards, I wasn’t too happy. I don’t think Cowboy Carter was the album of the year, and I do think a lot of the other albums were better contenders. I was very disappointed that Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift didn’t win anything for either of their albums. They were both amazing and deserved more recognition.

Performances

I loved so many of the performances this year during the Grammys! My top 3 favorites were Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, and Billie Eilish. Sabrina’s performance was fun, and I loved the mix of acting with singing; she is so bubbly and fun to watch. Benson always puts on such a fun performance and I like how he came out of the audience and no one was expecting it. Billie’s performance with Finneas was just so peaceful; I love them together and watching them sing.
