Self Care Sundays – DIY Face Masks

By: Olivia Villanueva

One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday is self care – more specifically, face masks! Different face masks have different purposes but they are all great in providing that therapeutic effect. Here are some of my favorite DIY face masks that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy too.

  1. For Hydration:

  • Half a banana and half an avocado mashed

  • Place in refrigerator 30 minutes prior to application for an extra refreshing effect

  • Leave on for 10-20 minutes

  1. For Blackheads:

  • 3 tbsp of uncooked oats and 2 tbsp raw honey

  • Leave on face for 10-20 minutes

  1. For Acne:

  • 2 tbsp raw honey and 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Leave on face for 10-20 minutes

  1. To Tighten and Firm Skin:

  • 2 tsp of coffee and 2 tsp of honey

  • Leave on face for 10-20 minutes

  1. For Wrinkles:

  • Mix 1 tsp of aloe vera with 1 tsp of coconut oil and 1 tsp of raw honey

  • Place in refrigerator 30 minutes prior to application for an extra refreshing effect

  • Leave on face for 15-30 minutes

  1. For Dry Skin:

  • Half an avocado and 2 tsp of raw honey

  • Place in refrigerator 30 minutes prior to application for an extra refreshing effect

  • Leave on face for 15-30 minutes
