My Favorite Body Positive Tik Toker- Brittani Lancaster

Brittani Lancaster has quite a bit of Tik Tok fame, and she uses the platform to share her story of overcoming both anorexia and a binge eating disorder. She starts by sharing how she struggled with anorexia when she was 16, dealt with hormone imbalances, and other different struggles that can accompany anorexia. After she was told by doctors that the damage that had happened to her body may make it hard for her to have kids, she began eating again, but then developed a binge eating disorder. Brittani has been a tough fighter and has since then pushed through both of these eating disorders. She is now in recovery.

 Brittani’s Tik Tok is a place I go any time I am feeling bad about my body or just needed a pick me up. Her page is full of positive content and helpful tips and recipes for anyone. Brittani also shares daily “what I eat in a day” videos documenting how she stays healthy and nourished, pushing past the concept that all food is bad for you. She really pushes that you should listen to your body and provide your body with the nutrients it needs to keep going, and to never forget that balance is key. So that bowl of ice cream won’t hurt you. 

Brittani also just graduated from the University of Oregon this past spring (you go girl!!). It is nice to have someone college age who has gone through similar body issues and is recovering. I love how she shows how you can be a college student, work hard in school, be successful, and still have time to care for your body and treat yourself with the self love you deserve. This girl has honestly been one of my biggest role models this past year and has made me feel so much better in my own skin. I highly recommend checking out her Tik Tok or Youtube channel!
