My Experience: Ed Sheeran Concert

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Endicott chapter.

If you ever want to be blown away, go see Ed Sheeran in concert!

I saw Ed Sheeran in Boston at TD Garden this past weekend and it was honestly such an amazing night. Not only did he put on an entertaining, fun show, he also has such an incredible voice that it sounded just as good, if not better, than his recordings. One of my favorite things about the event was that he got the crowd involved, and made it much more than just a concert. He definitely made it worth the money.

Ed Sheeran uses a soundboard/looping device that allows him to build upon his song while he’s performing live. This is what enables him to put on such an impressive solo show. I must admit, I am biased because I already think Sheeran is a great singer, but there are not many who are as talented as he is. I’ve seen him perform before, when opening for Taylor Swift, but at the time I wasn’t as familiar with his music. After seeing him at first time, however, I became truly obsessed with his music. There is not one song I dislike. If you ever want to listen to true, raw talent listen to Sheeran sing live, or even better, get tickets to his show!

I wanted to share the songs he played on Saturday in case you ever find yourself at his concert and want to know which songs you should know the lyrics to!

His set list from the concert included:

  • Castle on the Hill
  • Eraser
  • The A Team
  • Don’t / New Man mix
  • Dive
  • Bloodstream
  • Happier
  • Galway Girl
  • Feeling Good / I See Fire
  • Hearts Don’t Break Around Here
  • Photograph
  • Perfect  (this made me cry when he played it live)
  • Nancy Mulligan
  • Thinking Out Loud
  • Sing

Encore:

  • Shape of You
  • You Need Me, I Don’t Need You (He made this song last around 10 minutes, it was crazy!)
