Reading can be very good for everyone. It’s something that helps me relax and destress. Here’s a list of the books that I read in 2022 and have read so far in 2023 with my honest ratings and a little bit about each of them!

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

I LOVED THIS BOOK! There was a lot more spice that I had anticipated but I couldn’t put the book down. The book follows Tate, a woman who falls in love with her brother’s friend…who also happens to be a pilot named Miles. When they meet they want nothing to do with one another. Miles is a broken man and has a hard past and he knows that if he and Tate are together he will break her too. This book follows Miles’ past and you get to see why Miles is incapable of loving anyone.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston – 4/5 ⭐️

Red, White & Royal Blue was good but definitely not my favorite. The story is about a young man named Alex, who is the First Son of the United States and he falls for their rival Prince Henry, the Prince of England. SPOILER: They fall in love but it is not accepted as they are of the same gender and are from two different counties, it reminds me of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry a little.

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides – 3/5 ⭐️

The ending was not what I was expecting. The book was good but the ending really ruined it for me. This book is about a woman who murders her husband but then becomes completely silent after doing so. She undergoes treatment and her doctor is obsessed with finding out why she did it and getting her to talk.

Nothing More To Tell by Karen M McManus – 5/5 ⭐️

This book is about main character Brynn who decided to investigate the death of her beloved teacher four years after the fact. The story made headlines of the murder of her favorite teacher as three of her classmates found his body. This case was never solved until Brynn decided to pursue it after four years and does not rest until she gets to the bottom of it and finds out devastating information about her classmates and family that she never should have uncovered in the first place.

November 9 by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

When Fallon and Ben meet is it truly love at first sight or something that these two look forward to every year? You won’t be able to put this book down as it keeps you guessing and you begin to learn more about Fallon’s and Ben’s past and how the world is a lot smaller than one would think. Colleen Hoover books always has me on my toes, but this one I couldn’t put down.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

This book is about the right person at the wrong time. After college Lily meets Ryle who she instantly falls for. It isn’t until her first love Atlas re-appears and this tests Lily and Ryle’s relationship. You’ll get to follow Lily’s past and understand what has led them to this moment.

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng – 4/5 ⭐️

This story is filled with secrets that keep getting uncovered about an artist that moves around a lot with her young daughter Pearl. The mother says that this time it will become a permanent home, but will the secrets ruin their future?

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han – 4/5 ⭐️

The only reason that I read this book was because the TV show came out over the summer and it seemed like the perfect summer read. It tells the story of the main character Belly who lives for the summer. She has spent every summer at the Cousins beach house but there is something different about this summer. Read along to find out.

All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

This messed up couple has their relationship based on promises that were made in the past. Maybe time apart is what this couple needs. This was a really good book that had a lot of heartbreak in it. This one made me shed a few tears for sure.

Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

Kenna made a horrible mistake and after spending five years in prison all that she wants to do is be reunited with her four year old daughter. But being back in the town where everything went wrong is hard and people don’t seem to want to forgive and forget. This book was very good but definitely was sad to read.

The Last thing He Told Me by Laura Dave –  4/5 ⭐️

This mystery book was so good and I didn’t want to put it down. One day a woman’s husband goes missing and she has no idea where he has gone. She is left with his teenage daughter to pick up the pieces. The last thing that the husband is able to tell his beloved wife is a note that reads: Protect her.

Every Summer After by Carley Fortune – 5/5 ⭐️

This novel gives the reader a perspective of a now grown up woman and man who grew up together and then were not in contact for years. This book is a perfect example of right person wrong time relationships. I kept turning the pages to see what would happen between Sam and Percy.

Verity by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

I read Verity in one sitting. This book is filled with mystery and heat. There isn’t much that I can say about this book without giving it away. All that I can say is that it left me speechless.

It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover – 5/5 ⭐️

The sequel to It Ends With Us. This book follows the storyline of Atlas and Lily now that they are together and adults they need to figure out how to make their relationship work. Will their love from when they were teenagers be strong enough and follow through into their adulthood?
