I might be late to the party, but I just recently tried a matcha latte. However, between being occasionally lactose intolerant and permanently broke, I’ve been trying to find a variation of the drink that won’t break the bank and won’t leave me feeling worse than when I started.

1. Starbucks Iced Matcha Latte with Two Pumps of Raspberry Sweet Cream, Cold Foam, and Regular Milk – Rating 7/10

I originally rated this first variation an 8/10 because this drink literally tastes like ice cream. However, the raspberry doesn’t add that much to it to be honest, which is why I knocked off one point. The regular milk combo, combined with the eight dollar price tag brings this combos rating to a 7/10. (P.S. I found this idea on Tik Tok @annalovescoffee; follow her for more Starbucks drink inspiration!)

2. Starbucks Iced Matcha Latte Sweet Cream Cold Foam with Almond Milk – Rating 8/10

I rated this drink an 8/10 simply because the almond milk is better for my lactose intolerance, and unlike oat milk, it has flavor so the drink still has its ice cream like taste. It’s almost a dollar more expensive to get a non-dairy option at Starbucks so that’s why I knocked it down two more points.

3. Dunkin’ Iced Matcha Latte with Almond Milk, Sweet Cold Foam, and One Pump of Liquid Sugar – Rating 6/10

This drink is a 6/10 for me. Dunkin’s cheaper price tag really make my broke college kid heart sing, but this drink was wayyy too sweet. However, it does grow on you, which is why I rated this a six out of ten instead of giving it a lower score. I have to say, not to drag the Dunkin’ I went to, but the matcha was not mixed and for sure affected the quality of the drink.

4. Starbucks Iced Matcha Latte with Regular Milk – Rating 7/10

Listen, this is the deal. If you have issues with regular milk, sacrificing your well being for regular milk is not worth it unless you add the sweet cream cold foam. The foam makes the drink taste like ice cream, and you’d sacrifice your stomach for ice cream but not for a full glass of milk, right?

5. Dunkin’ Iced Matcha Latte with Almond Milk and Sweet Cream Cold Foam – Rating 9/10

Honestly, this was pretty good. You can notice that this is not a Starbucks drink, but you can get all the dairy accommodations and the cold foam for only five or so bucks instead of Starbucks’ eight dollars. I took off a point because I will always be loyal to Starbucks, and the drink does not have a ton of flavor, but it is the best variation from Dunkin’ that I’ve tried.

6. Starbucks Iced Matcha Latte with Sweet Cream Cold Foam and Regular Milk – Rating 10/10

This is by far the best variation. It tastes like an ice cream, and even though it’s eight dollars and bad for lactose intolerance, the taste makes it worth it. Trust me; it’s so yummy and you won’t be sorry.

I hope you enjoyed my reviews of Matcha Lattes!
