Homemade Pumpkin Bread Recipe

By: Olivia Villenueva

What screams Fall better than pumpkin? Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year and I love pumpkin EVERYTHING. This pumpkin bread recipe is not only delicious, but it makes the whole house/room smell amazing as well! The fact that it is made from scratch only makes it that much better.

Prep Time: 5 mins

Cook Time: 55 mins

Serves: 2 Loaves

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of pure pumpkin

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 2 ½ cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • ⅔ cup water

  • 4 eggs

  • 3 ⅓ cup flour

  • 2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 ½ tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin, sugar, oil, water and eggs.

  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the rest of the dry ingredients – cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, baking soda and salt. After those are mixed, slowly add that to the large bowl mixture. Stir well until combined.

  4. Pour mixture into two into 2 loaf pans that have been greased or lined.

  5. Bake at 325° for about 55 minutes, or until done.

  6. Allow time to cool before removing from loaf pans.

  7. Enjoy!
