Xoe Jakubowich, ’14

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

We know you’ve all LOVED reading up on the past Campus Cuties (editor’s note: This section gets about twice as many hits as any other section), but the guys aren’t the only ones around campus who deserve a little attention. In fact, it’s been said that Emory girls are actually the cuter ones…. That being said, HC Emory is proud to introduce our first ever female Campus Cutie, Xoe Jakubowich!

Major:Pre-Business?

Sorority:Kappa Alpha Theta, what what

Sign:Aries (April 8th)

Extracurriculars:Orientation Leader, Zeebah Persian belly-dancing… oooo yeaa

Here’s what Xoe had to say…

Her Campus Emory (HCE):Which celebrity do you think you are most like?

Xoe Jakubowich (XJ): Snooki, I invest millions of dollars a year in bump-its and tanning spray, it’s not a phase, it’s a lifestyle.

HCE:Who is your celebrity crush?

XJ:Enrique Iglesias, his music is so heartfelt and passionate, I break down in tears every time.

HCE:What has been the best party so far on campus?

XJ:KA winter wonderland party had snow cones, which was a nice touch, but I’d have to go with Beta’s snow party. They provided marshmallows, energy drinks and cages to dance in…good times.

HCE:What is the craziest thing you have ever done to impress a boy?

XJ:I’ve pretended I’m straight off the boat from Milan, complete with an accent and a story about how I have glass eyes. He fell for it for three months. He’s really gullible, and after confessing, I’ve now convinced him that I’m a pathological liar seeking medical attention…

HCE:What is your “type”?

XJ:BOY, blondish-brownish hair, tallish-shortish, pretty eyes, good smile, sense of humor and lots of sarcasm. Please insult me, because I’ll be happy to insult you back. Talk to me about discovery channel shark week and I will marry you.

HCE:If you were to perform in a talent show, what would you do?

XJ:Interpretive dance, probably to a Hannah Montana song, backed up by Emily Gosman and the vocals of Bari Weingord. I’d switch the song every night of the talent show to shake it up.
HCE:What is your favorite sport?

XJ:Gymnastics, but I want to surf…or play rugby, I’d own.

HCE: What is the sexiest thing a guy does that he is unaware of?

XJ:A well-executed hair flip followed by eye contact, for guys with slightly shaggy or longer hair. If you don’t know how to do it, don’t try, you look like you’re twitching. Eye contact is hot, guys should work on that.

HCE:Would you rather be the female lead in the Notebook, Dear John, or the Last Song?

XJ:None of the above, put me in John Tucker must Die or a James Bond movie.

HCE:What is your most embarrassing moment?

XJ:Senior year of high school, I was pantsed in the local Target by a small child while waiting in line to checkout on Black Friday. My underwear said “Leave me alone, I’m dancing” on it, and my friend who works there said they most definitely have it on security camera.

HCE:Where is your favorite vacation spot?

XJ:Capri, good beaches, good food.

HCE:What is your dream date?

XJ:AQUARIUM, perhaps with a romantic stroll/swim through the shark tank….

HCE: How does it feel to be the first female Emory Campus Cutie?

XJ: It feels great, because it really reassures my confidence in the doctor that performed the sex change operation…

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
