What to Wear to the Masquerade

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

The Masquerade is a little piece of heaven for those of us who love alternative music. This North Avenue venue has hosted some of the biggest names in pop-punk, metal, and electronic music, including The Wonder Years, Say Anything, Periphery, and LIGHTS, as well as local bands and up-and-coming indie artists.  Now that you have bought your ticket, it’s time to decide what to wear.

1)  Close-toed Shoes

Close-toed shoes are an absolute MUST at any small to mid-sized indoor venue. Besides protecting your feet from the questionable cleanliness of the floors, proper shoes will cover your fragile toes when you find yourself in the middle of the mosh pit.

2) Tank Top

No matter how cold it is outside, you will end the night covered in sweat, both your own and everyone else’s. While no Masquerade experience is complete without sweat, you’re better off saving your favorite t-shirt from pit stains.

3) An Alternative to a Purse

Free yourself from the tyranny of the purse and fist pump with your brethren.
