Stylish Shoes for Cross-Campus Trekking

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

Syllabus week is over and classes are now in full swing, which means that you might find yourself with 15 minutes to get from the North Decatur Building all the way to the Math and Science Center. Best of luck to you. While we can’t help you with time, we can help you make sure that you look cute sprinting across campus. For those cross-campus treks, shorter walks, or even strolls in Lullwater, having a comfortable pair of shoes can make all the difference.

Flip Flops

A classic never dies. Go with Rainbows or Havianas—they last awhile and can look good with almost anything. And now, you can even design your own Havianas.

Strappy Sandals
The options are endless when it co
mes to strappy sandles. Unlike flip flops, they provide a little extra support and you don’t have to worry about them flying off your feet. For some inexpensive options, check out Steve Madden and Sam Edelman.

Flats
Flats are a necessity to every girl’s wardrobe. Throw them on with shorts, jeans, leggings—they’re good for
anything. But be careful, they’re not always as comfortable as they seem. Tory Burch and Kate Spade have some cute and comfortable options.

Sneakers/Boat Shoes
Converse and Sperry’s. They’re comfortable, come in a variety of colors and styles, and go with just about
anything. Add some color and glitz to your outfit with their bright colors and sequin styles.

Boots
Although it’s not quite time to pull those knee-high boots out from the back of your closet, cooler weather is
approaching. Steve Madden suede boots are the best—stylish, comfortable, and best of all, pretty inexpensive. And of course, you have to have a pair of UGG boots to throw on—come winter,
they’re pretty much the only type of shoe you’ll spot a girl wearing on campus.
