Meet Sara: she’s creative, loves drinking champagne, and has no shame in eating chocolate icing by the spoonful. Read on to find out more about Sara!

Full Name: Sara Duval

Major: Interdisciplinary Studies

Hometown: St. Louis, MO

Extracurricular Activities: Shopping, brunching, painting, drinking champagne

Relationship Status: Single

Greek Affiliation: Alpha Delta Pi

Her Campus Emory (HCE): What has been your greatest moment at Emory?

Sara: I don’t think there has been one moment where everything came together. I think the best thing that happened to me at Emory was that I figured out the type of person I want to be, and ways to be that person on a bigger scale and in the day-to-day.

HCE: What has been your biggest struggle at Emory?

Sara: Early classes and late nights. Boys have also proved challenging on many occasions.

HCE: What do you see yourself ideally doing after you graduate?

Sara: Ideally, I would love to work at some type of creative agency. I need to be in a place with people who think outside of the box and are motivated by being in a playful but productive environment. Working in an office with white walls, no windows, and no personality isn’t something I could ever do. I have a lot of experience in creative fields, which is broad, but I hope to end up at a fun and creative company!

HCE: What is your most embarrassing moment?

Sara: I hit myself in the face with a car door, then had a black eye for a month and had to keep retelling the story.

HCE: What is your guilty pleasure?

Sara: Eating chocolate icing directly out of the can with a spoon. No cake required.

HCE: What is the worst pick up line you’ve ever heard?

Sara: “My friend dared me to kiss you” is the worst.

HCE: Describe your ideal weekend.

Sara: Not having any stress of what was coming for me on Monday.

HCE: Who inspires you?

Sara: Everyone I meet inspires me in a different way. Whether they inspire me to prove them wrong or inspire me with their guidance, everyone I meet has something to teach me.

HCE: What is the number one thing on your bucket list?

Sara: Travel with no plan, no agenda, and no return flight. (Currently, I have a flight booked for a trip with no return flight and no plan, so this is really coming along nicely without much effort on my part.)

HCE: If you could ask your future self one question, what would it be?

Sara: I think this is a flawed question—everything my future self knows will come from experience that happens to me along the way. Knowing the answers now would ruin the journey of finding them out for myself.
