Let’s face it, online shopping in the past few years has become an entire new industry for fashion. For all of you
fashionistas that are either too lazy to go to the mall or trying to find something extremely specific, the internet has become a source to relieve the stress of searching the entire mall for it. And, for those critics that worry about whether an outfit will fit right without trying it on, almost all online boutiques offer free return and refunds. As an avid and experienced online shopper, I have put together a list of sites that are my personal favorites based on style, price, and overall size of selection.
Urbanoutfitters.com
So, this is probably a store most of you know and cherish, but the online shopping selection is much larger than the selections offered in their actual stores. And their online sale section is great!
Modcloth.com
This site is perfect for all you vintage lovers. They sell pieces from the 30’s through the 70’s! And, they’re updated every day. They also feature vintage-based modern looks.
ASOS.com
If you love sexy, color blocking outfits, ASOS is a perfect fit. It always has the best club wear, and creates some of the best lines and symmetries that make all shapes and sizes look fantastic.
NastyGal.com
If you can’t find it at Urban Outfitters, you can probably find it on Nasty Gal. It’s more expensive, but has unique and rare vintage pieces. My favorite part of the site is the shoe section which has unique, double take shoes that are Lady Gaga deserving.
Etsy.com
Instead of your ordinary online boutique, this site is a haven for all artists, designers, and innovators. You can shop for handmade or vintage pieces. You can literally find anything here.
Bluefly.com and Beyondtherack.com
These sites are perfect for those that love anything designer. Everything on the site is about 40-60% off all designer shoes, clothes, bags, etc. Beyondtherack.com sells clothes and accessories by monthly collections such as “Gucci bags” or types of style.
RenttheRunway.com
For anyone who is too afraid to commit to buying expensive pieces such as formal dresses, this site will save you. Rent the Runway works as a lending boutique: you can browse through hundreds of off the runway, designer dresses valued at thousands of dollars, and rent them for 50-100 dollars.
