Fall is coming. PSL’s are here. There was a day this week when I walked campus without sweating through my shirt. The Gods are shining down on us. Do you know what this means?

There is an entirely new way of life. It might not be the new year, but you’re getting the chance to do something new. By this point, your midterms are probably over, and before you get hit with another truckload of work, get your life together. Here’s how to do it.

  1. STICKIES!!!!!!!!! PLANNERS!!!!!!!!!

You! Can! Not! Do! Well! If! You! Don’t! Know! What! To! Do! It is literally a FACT that if you don’t know what you’ve got going on, or what paper you have due next week, you will not get it done to the best of your ability. There are soooooo many cute planners (check out the ones at Target like these!), and even if you don’t want to buy a planner at this point in the year, the Stickies app on your computer will be an outstanding reminder to get your shit done.

  1. Leopard print

Leopard print, and all animal print actually, has been rearing its head in the fashion world and is a force to be reckoned with. Celebrities are wearing it, Vogue is calling it, and it’s time for you to join the trend. Let’s #MakeEmoryFashionConsciousAgain

  1. A water bottle

Staying hydrated is so dope. You’ll be especially grateful for it on the weekends, but don’t forget to nourish your body with the sweet nectar of agua daily. If saving the Earth and glowing skin aren’t enough to make you want to carry around a water bottle, wait until you see how cute they can be. It’ll be an accessory as much as a lifesaver.

  1. A trench coat!

Maybe it’s a personal thing, but I think a person wearing a trench coat (and pulling it off) looks so chic. Obviously you have to find the right style and pattern for you, but if you can get it, you’ve got looks. Check out all your options and be like all the celebrities.

  1. A go-to pair of shoes for T&G

Club shoes are a thing. You have class shoes, workout shoes, fancy shoes, and club shoes. The shoes you don’t get too upset about when they get a drink spilled on them or scuffed by your date’s clumsiness. Comfort is key, affordability is a must, and style is uncompromisable.

  1. Student discounts

College is so expensive and you shouldn’t have to spend money on things where you don’t have to. There are so many websites out there that can keep you clothed, fed, and even traveling, so PLEASE utilize them.

  1. Atlanta outings

You shouldn’t spend a minute more without exploring the beauty and fun that Atlanta has to offer.  There are lots of blogs and instagram pages with a ton of information available, and it’s only going to enrich your experience.

There are super cool Instagrams:

  1. New music

New seasons means new music. There are lots of fun ways to do it, connecting with artists similar to the ones that you like, with websites that have millions of songs to offer.

  1. New pals

There’s never a bad time to make new friends, but with opportunities like pumpkin patches, fall festivals, farmer’s markets, and ~specially flavored~ coffee drinks, it is the best time for a date with a new buddy.

Hong Kong born and raised, Manishka is widely known for two things – her clumsiness and her ability to spend hours laughing at her own jokes! When she’s not busy trying to find out how she got her latest bruise, she can usually be found eating an avocado, while re-watching Gossip Girl for the 6th…no… 7th time! Her hobbies include raiding the fridge, stalking Doug the Pug on Instagram and trying to find out the secret ingredient in Krabby Patties.
