This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

This sophomore cutie comes from Kansas City, but the cubby (Sig Nu house) is his real stomping ground. Sorry girls, he’s taken…swept off his feet by one of our very own editors (good work, Maddie). Evan has an epic embarrassing moment and great taste in movies, so you’re going to want to keep reading!

Her Campus Emory (HCE): Who’s your role model and why?

Evan (E): Nick Kelly is one of them.  He’s a real determined kid, has his priorities in order, and is about to be a Navy SEAL.

HCE: What do you do to keep so fit? Explain your workout regimen.

E: Try to eat well, lift a couple times a week, and run on the other days…It makes it easier when you have monsters like Captain and Jacked Noah around to tell you how mediocre you look.

HCE: What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for a girl?

E: Flown down to Florida to see her, but stayed in a hotel by myself because at the time her parents didn’t like me very much, and didn’t like that she had a boyfriend.

HCE: What’s your idea of a perfect date?

E: Afternoon coffee and a late night cubby

HCE: What is your least favorite thing about Emory girls?

E: They’re all from the same place!

HCE: I’ve heard you like rom coms – what’s your favorite?

E: Haha..On the days that they are on TV in the house, it becomes a bit of a debate.  There’s a contingent for Love Actually, but I’m more of an I Love You Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall guy.

HCE: What is a perfect night out for you?

E: Formal…but MJQ has been a close second recently.

HCE:What’s your go-to activity to relax?

E: Law & Order SV(N)U with Shourjo, Nate and Pollak.

HCE: What are your pet peeves?

E: When I don’t have gum after I eat.

HCE: What’s the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?

E: Once in the end of middle school or the beginning of high school, I was in a Spanish class.  I asked to borrow a pencil from a friend, and she told me to get one from her backpack.  But, I accidentally pulled out her tampon instead.  At the time I didn’t know what it was.  So as I was looking at it she noticed and yelled, and then I dropped it into the middle of the class.  Class stopped, and since the desks were set up in a horseshoe everyone got to watch as I walked around to pick up this girl’s tampon and give it back to her.

HCE: What’s the first thing you notice about a girl? (Not my favorite question)

E: I really only notice brunette, journalism majors these days.

HCE: If you had to stay one age forever what would it be?

E: 21…its all downhill from there

HCE: Do you have any pets?

E: 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a fish…it’s a zoo at my house.

HCE: What accomplishment are you most proud of?

E: Probably the community service I’ve done; I spent a couple weeks rebuilding an elementary school in Central America.

HCE: What’s you favorite holiday and why?

E: It’d be a crowd pleaser to say Hanukah…but as a Christian boy from Kansas, I’m going to have to say Back in Black.

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
