7 Ways to Make Summer 2015 the Best One Yet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

Summer is just around the corner, and we thought it was best to give you something to look forward to. So push those exam study guides and textbooks to the side for just a moment: it’s time you take a break and daydream about how to make this summer the best one yet!

  1. Road Trip: We’ve all thought about doing a road trip with friends at one point or another, so make this the summer that you finally do it! Grab friends and food and drive off to wherever your heart desires…

  2. Learn Something New: You have three months this summer; make the most of it! You have plenty of time to do something you’ve never done before. Take surfing lessons or learn how to skateboard!

  3. Get a Job: Okay, this might not be the best part of summer, but everyone needs a job to feel productive and to pay for all these plans. Work somewhere fun, like an ice cream shop or the beach.

  4. Go on a Camping Trip: This is a cheap, fun, outdoorsy activity for you to do with a bunch of your friends. Bring a tent, go somewhere near a lake, and don’t forget s’mores!

  5. Plan a Party: Summer is the perfect time to host a party! Come up with a theme, buy lots of snacks, and invite all your old high school friends. It’ll be like a high school reunion! Don’t forget the slip-and-slide!

  6. Go to the Beach. Often: The beach is the best part about the summer, so you should definitely plan on making frequent visits. How else are you supposed to work on your tan?

  7. Do Nothing: Just relax. Catch up on sleep. Find a good book and read outside. Watch TV. You do you.
