2013 Greek Awards Recipients!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

The 2013 Greek Awards took place in Cox Ballroom on Thursday, April 25th. Each chapter nominated members for awards including Best New Member, President, and the Greek Man and Woman of the year. Her Campus Emory would like to honor the winners:

Best new members: Tom Ianelli and Janelle Elysee

Greek Man and Woman of the Year: Victor Rudo and Catherine Muse

President: Dan Bobier and Blair Hunt

We caught up with Tri Delta President Blair Hunt after her big win. Here’s what she had to say:

“It was such an honor to win sorority president of the year. It was really challenging to be a president, but it was also really rewarding having so many girls who constantly had my back. I was so lucky to have such an amazing exec board that listened to each other and really cared about each other and the future of our sorority. I was so impressed by how we were able to bond after crises and take care of things. We were able to honestly talk about the consequences of actions and how they affected us and Emory. I’m so happy with so far we came this semester. Kyle Remy did an amazing job as academic chair, and we really tried to make academics a priority last semester. I’m also really excited about OTC (officers training council), which was comprised of me, Alcie, and Eliza. It was a great idea from Nationals to rethink our personal roles and our general presence on campus.”

Congratulations Collegiates and Collegiettes!

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
