Our generation will go down in pop culture history as the YOLO generation (…thanks Drake), and as lame as that sounds now, it’s pretty accurate. We are constantly in fear that we are not living every single moment to the fullest and that we’re wasting precious time.
Here at Emory, most of the people I’ve met can be very goal-oriented, which is obviously an amazing trait–but it’s important that we balance the time we spend buried in books and our laptops with time spent actually living and experiencing everything college is about. Read up on how to make your years at Emory count, and add to this bucket list with some silly or scandalous goals of your own!
1. Make out with a guy from every fraternity.
2. Go on an outdoor date to Lullwater.
3. Get a froyo with every topping from Sweet Monkey.
4. Sneeze obnoxiously loud in the reading room just for the uncomfortable/awkward dirty looks you’ll get.
5. Get kissed on every floor of the stacks.
6. Sneak in and steal food from the DUC just for the sake of being rebellious.
7. High-five a Monk.
8. Take a selfie with Mason.
9. Drive an Emory golf cart around campus.
10. Be on Dooley’s secret entourage.
11. Make out with someone on McDonough Field… in the middle of the night.
12. Go to the 10th floor of the library and take in the Atlanta skyline.
13. Give a hug to Angela and Pasta John in the DUC.
14. Actually eat a meal at Mags (it’s a bar AND grill) to see it in the daylight.
15. Hike Stone Mountain.
16. Go with a group of friends to the Georgia Aquarium.
17. Visit the Georgia Botanical Gardens.
18.) Become a Campus Cutie.
19. Go to a UGA/Georgia Tech Football Game (Emory football–still undefeated!).
20. Climb the rock wall in the WoodPEC.
