Taking artsy pictures used to be reserved for hipsters and professional photographers. But with the emergence of Instagram, suddenly everyone is taking filtered pictures of nature, parties, and especially food. Now that we are back at school, you are bound to see people both using and abusing this app. Here are the 10 things you are most likely to see on Instagram by Sunday morning.

1. Late Night Dominos Box
So what if you spent all summer Soul Cycling to get into fabulous shape for bikini weather? We all know the feeling: after a late night out there’s no better way to spend your Dooley Dollars than on a large pizza and cinna stix from Dominos. Let’s be honest, we all feel a little less guilty about splurging if we Instagram our food #instagood.

2. Mason
It’s not really a complete night out at Emory unless you wind up at Mags. Everyone that goes to Maggie’s truly believes that Mason is his/ her best friend in the world, so they have to document the sort of devotion that draws you to his safe-guarded wooden door night after night. There’s nothing like an artsy Instagram pic with Mason to let the world know that you’re “in” with Maggie’s celebrity-status bouncer. #instamags.

3. Themed Party Accessories
It doesn’t matter which frat you favor. The first weekends back at school is bound to lead to an Instagram feed full of togas, camouflage shirts, and other themed party accessories. #instatoga.

4. Clairmont Pool
There’s nothing like waking up late after a night out and rallying to get your tan on at Clairmont. Our pool is so pretty we don’t even need an Instagram filter to get an artsy pic of it #instacool.

5. Pregames
Reunited and it feels so good! After a long summer apart expect lots of pics of girls squeezing together at their respective pregames (and pre-pregames). Expect pictures of stacked red cups, people chugging various forms of alcohol, and cans of beer. #instaparty.

6. Walk of Shames
Take a stroll down Eagle Row Friday, Saturday, or Sunday morning and you’re bound to see girls taking that awkward walk of shame home. Smudged eyeliner, boy’s t-shirts, and the casual heels-in-hands ritual are all images you just might see. #instashame.

7. ATeL Events
Who says Emory kids don’t party? Check your Instagram and you will see raging Atlanta clubs, cool DJ’s, and lots of people drunk grinding everywhere. #instaclub.

8. Gym Attire
Plenty of us will want to burn off the extra calories we acquire all weekend with a trip to the gym. Those of us with little to no desire to even move on Sunday morning will opt to motivate ourselves with an Instagram of our sweet new sneakers. It might be enough #Instapec (or maybe just #flywheel?).

9. Coffee
It might be cliché to Instagram a cup of Starbucks, but after a weekend of going out you can bet that the Starbucks in Emory Village will be as popping Sunday morning as Maggie’s was on Saturday night. #caffeine.

10. Homework
Take an artsy pic of your brand new textbook to let the world know you procrastinated until Sunday, but you’re finally ready to work. Better yet, share a shot of your smorgasbord-style spread of papers, notebooks, folders, notecards, pens and pencils that only lets your followers know that you’re not actually doing your work, you just need to arrange it that way to upload it onto Instagram. #instawoodruff.

Now we are able to not only re-live our weekends through Facebook and Twitter, but also through the beautiful pictures of Instagram. #instaemory.

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
