Starting Your Semester off Right with Phoebe Buffay

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emmanuel chapter.

Second semester means a new year, new classes, and new professors!  Changes may not be for everyone…

But, never fear, Phoebe Buffay has lots of advice on how to start your second semester off on the right foot.

With all of these changes, buying a planner and keeping it updated can help to organize all of your important information and events.

A cluttered room makes for a rough start, if you can’t find your textbooks, you can’t start your classes on a positive note. So…

Learn how to say no. Don’t feel pressured to commit to things you aren’t interested in or don’t have time for.

Moving back into a dorm or apartment after a month long roommate-free break can be a hard adjustment. So, if your roommate starts to drive you a little crazy, take a little break.

Go to the gym. I know, I know. You don’t need to set a big goal, like “I want to lose 25 pounds”, but even going for a jog for twenty minutes can make all the difference thanks to those endorphins. Give the gym a try!

And, most importantly, go into this new year and second semester with positivity.
