HCE Senior Send-Off: Treasurer Mady Daigle

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emmanuel chapter.

A Senior Send-Off for the Her Campus Emmanuel’s 2018-2019’s treasurer Madison Daigle. Keep reading to hear about her times with HCE, advice for fellow Emmanuel students and some memories about Emmanuel College!

Name: Mady Daigle

Major: Mathematics

Minor(s): Communication and Media Studies and Writing Editing and Publishing

Dream Job: Work at NASA

HCE Exec Board Position: Treasurer

Favorite Emmanuel Class: Anything taught by Dr. Dementieva

Favorite Thing to do in Boston: Walk around and pretend I can take pictures of this beautiful city.

(I took this freshman year and it is by far the best photo skill I have ever had)

HCE: Tell us a little about your history with Her Campus over the past four years!

Mady:  I went to the first meeting every semester, but life always got in the way of future meetings. Junior year I finally had the time and loved spending my Monday nights with HCE. It became a highlight of my week and I was so mad it took me so long to join.

HCE: What has been your favorite part of being a part of the HCE team?

Mady: I love just getting to hang out with all the amazing women on our team. Everyone is just so strong and inspiring. Also going to Her Conference. I loved getting to spend a weekend in the city hearing from amazing speakers and hanging with my HCE team!

HCE: Do you have any advice for HCE in the future?

Mady: More bonding nights! They are always so hard to plan, but when they do happen they’re so much fun!

HCE: What have been some of your favorite moments and memories at Emmanuel?

Mady: I love how small Emmanuel is, you cannot walk across campus without seeing someone you know. My favorite memories are the ones that weren’t planned. It was the times me and my friends decided last minute to walk to the commons, or playing bingo in the JYC and never winning. It’s being able to go to the victory parades of our winning sports teams, or getting to sit on the quad during the nice days when school first starts. It the little things about Emmanuel that make it so great, make sure to notice them!

HCE: I know it’s slightly anxiety-inducing, but any plans for after you graduate?

Mady: I am going to continue my education to become a teacher. I have my license to start teaching, but I want to start my masters while i’m still in the school mindset.

HCE: Do you have any advice or anything you would want to say to freshman Mady?

Mady: Enjoy every minute! Time flies through college and stop stressing the small stuff, it’s all going to work out in the end.

Thank you so much for everything you’ve done with HCE! We have absolutely loved having you as treasurer this year. Good luck with everything in the future, we know you’re bound for great things. We’re going to miss you too much! HCXO
